Success for School's Quiz

Four schools are in the Junior final at Rayleigh Baptist Church at 1.30pm on Monday 22nd March.

Downhall, Our Lady of Ransom, Rayleigh County Primary and Hullbridge Riverside.

Rayleigh Town Council Junior Schools Quiz. After 2 very close semi - finals the 4 finalists in this new competition are Downhall, Our Lady of Ransom, Rayleigh County Primary and Hullbridge Riverside.

The standard of answers was exceptionally high and every pupil a credit to their school. The level of sportsmanship was exceptional at both semi finals.

How many readers would know the capital cities of Peru. Bolivia, Outer Mongolia and Burkino Faso. One young lady did.

The final will be held at Rayleigh Baptist Church at 1.30pm on Monday 22nd March.

All parents are welcome to attend but are asked to sit separately from the pupils and the supervising staff.

The trophy will be presented to the winners but returned for engraving. The trophy will be finally presented at the Annual Town Meeting along with the winners cheque for £100 kindly donated by the Rayleigh Chamber of Trade.

There will also be a trophy awarded for the best individual performance. There are already 4 possible winners.
