Chamber Jumpers

Carl & Martin parachute for MacMillian Nurses charity

Exclusive photos. The ones the paparazzi missed

Martin & Carl volunteer to take a parachute jump in aid of MacMillan Nurses charity.

It took 3 attempts before we finally got to jump. (Carl's story is that the weather was bad, truth is that he got flight sickness climbing the 3 steps of the plane)

The pictures do not do us justice. The reality is we looked good, very good in our perfectly tailored, designer fitting outfits which allowed us to slice through the air as we spiralled from 11,000 feet (didn't think much of Carl's headgear, mine fitted like a glove).

Carl kept his glasses on so he could witness the splendour and I kept up the moral support by keeping my teeth in. Still we look good even after the jump. Not a hair out of place.

Ken Dellar was our mentor & coach for the day reminding us (and anyone within 5 miles of the airfield)of his commando raids into the jungle forests. His flask of coffee & biscuits also kept us listening

Our next crusade to conquer the Aztec coaast to coast walk will be a doddle after this. Wonder if the wives would like to join us!

My nerve has gone. Climbing that 3rd step took me over the edge. Don't tell anyone.

Still looking just as good after the jump. Don't think much of Carl's hat

So Ken don't you get bored of jumping after 95 years ?
